The Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery
The Faculty offers excellent opportunities for students. It has
a strong committment to teaching and research in many aspects of
nursing and its practice. The Faculty's degrees are highly regarded
in the nursing profession, nationally and internationally. They
prepare nurses for leadership in research, teaching, clinical
practice and administration.

Bachelor of Nursing (post registration)
International applicants holding either a diploma or certificate
are required to complete eight units of study (48 credit points) to
qualify for the bachelors degree. If you choose to study on-campus,
you are required to study full-time. International students may
choose to study part-time or full-time in the flexible online mode.
This degree does not lead to registration in Australia.
First semester units of the course focus on nursing knowledge
and pratice, examining the historical background and current
debates in nursing. You will also study the advanced clinical
governance and professional leadership. You also undertake study in
the area of research in nursing and its importance to nursing
practice and undertake a minor thesis or practice project.

Postgraduate courses
The Faculty offers a range of postgraduate coursework degrees at
the graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master levels.
Students study from a range of units on offer with many courses,
particularly at the masters level offering students the option of
choosing from a number of electives.
