
Australia has a
rich history of music-making and Sydney, with its famous Sydney
Opera House and other top venues is a performing arts hub

The Sydney Conservatorium of Music campus is
located in Macquarie Street, surrounded by the Royal Botanic
Gardens and just up the road from the Sydney Opera House. The
facilities at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music are amongst the
finest in the world, including a 500-seat concert hall, a further
two recital halls, a Music Workshop seating 220, more than 100
offices, 53 teaching studios, 63 practice rooms, choral and
instrumental rehearsal rooms, and a library with more than 300,000
items. There are over 140 pianos in the building and our piano
teaching studios are each equipped with Steinway pianos.

The career of a professional musician can be
varied and exciting – Sydney Conservatorium graduates can be found
around the world performing in top orchestras and opera houses, as
chamber musicians, and as teachers and researchers.

Undergraduate degrees include Bachelor of
Music Studies (3 years) and Bachelor of Music (4 years). Combined
degrees are also available, such as Bachelor of Music
Studies/Bachelor of Arts (5 years) and Bachelor of Music
Studies/Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (7 years).
